An orangery is a type of home extension that usually combines brickwork, windows, a solid perimeter roof, structural brick piers/columns and a central roof lantern.
The result is a room that feels more permanent and built-in than a standard conservatory, while still bringing in plenty of daylight. Orangeries are often used for kitchens, dining rooms, lounges and garden-facing living spaces.
